For the past couple of months now, Nicole from Nicole Conner Photography, and I been sharing a studio space in downtown Wenatchee. We seem to always be on the pass and go when we do get together so it was a super special opportunity that I had to meet up with her and her sweet little fam for a quick snow shoot. Yep Will is pretty much the cutest 2 year old out there!

I just want to share an itty bitty sneak into a recent boudoir session I shot. I think I was more nervous than my sweet friend as it’s the polar opposite from my weekly family and baby sessions. I have to say though, I loved it! It was so much fun to think creatively and outside of my so called normal point of view. I had some awesome help with this session and really couldn’t have pulled it off without Katie, so thanks a million!

Here we are at the first 10 for 2012…after spending a few days searching Pinterest and the rest of the web looking for the perfect quote to summarize how I feel about the new year I gave up. I’m not one to make a yearly list of resolutions or come up with a list of dramatic changes I need to make but rather just roll with the date change and hope for the best. This past month was full. Really full. I’m enjoying the little bit of quiet that has come with the New Year and loving on those who I love most.

The toothless smile has to be one of the most memorable images of childhood. Every kid eventually loses those 2 front teeth and for a short time have a smile that’s so goofy and sweet that only a photo can preserve. Thanks Lara and Nathan for hanging out with me, I had a lot of fun and hope you did as well!

Better late than never, right? These sweet parents have waited far too long to see this sneak peek of their adorable baby girl. She just happened to be born while I was on vacation and we rushed to grab those “newborn” shots as soon as we could. She was more than cooperative, I was blown away at how calm and sleepy she happened to be that day. Thanks Sonia for inviting me in to help capture this amazing time!

I had the pleasure of meeting up with these adorable boys and their sweet mom last week for a quick holiday session. It sure didn’t take much to get these two going, they had plenty of giggling fits even before I showed them the jelly bean jar. Here we are 2 weeks away from Christmas and somehow I’m very calm and collected this year. I have a few loose ends to tie up, a MOPS presentation, and the Holiday Party/Mini Sessions at the new studio space, but other than that my “break” has been wonderful! Taking this time off each year is exactly what I need to set myself up for an awesome year of photos in 2012!~

Anyhoo, meet Darcy and her gorgeous soon-to-be family of four. They are the sweetest family and were so much fun to hang out with right before taking off for my vacation. I feel bad that they have had to wait for a few weeks to see these but hopefully they agree it was worth the wait. I am so so excited to meet their sweet baby girl who is scheduled to arrive just after the holidays!

This holiday installment of the 10 on 10 project just happens to land in the middle of our annual family trip to Kona. I thought of abandoning this blog for a month but I knew that not only would I be disappointed in not participating but I would miss out on capturing some of my favorite images yet. Soon I’ll be headed back to the Pacific Northwest where I’ll trade in sandals for snow boots and the kids will start asking to ski and not surf,but for now i’m going to close my eyes and pretend I don’t have to go anywhere.

Yep it’s Thanksgiving and yes I am blogging. I am super thankful that all my lovely children are all tuckered out from today’s festivities and happily off into dreamland. I am so incredibly lucky to get to do what I do for a “job”….really how can I call this a job? Thank you so much to all my wonderful and amazing clients/friends who call on me to help capture your family, your lives just as they are RIGHT NOW.

So on to baby B and his gorgeous parents! These guys are up in the Valley visiting family before they had back to sunny San Diego. I’m just a tad jealous that’s where they call home Here he is in all his 2 month old goodness!
