good friends are like stars, you don’t always seem them but you know they are there. 

This is a post about 2 sweet little girls who happen to be best friends and two sweet mama’s that wanted to capture their girls in all their 2-year-old bestie glory. The reason for this shoot is that Miss Effie and fam are soon to be leaving the valley (sigh) and before they pack up we wanted one last session. Little Sister Rosie wasn’t quite as keen on the whole idea but was a good sport for a second or so.

This past week one of my all time favorite girlies had her 2nd birthday. Londyn is such a special little lady for multiple reasons which call for a list:

1) She has the best family, full of love and fun!

2) I get to be “Auntie Mary”

3) One day we may arrange a marriage between my own Lockie and her (first he needs to stop hitting her, but we’ll work on that)

4) She will hold her arms out for me to scoop her up and insists on climbing into my car every time in hopes of coming home with me.

5) She scrunches up her nose in the cutest way!

6) Her big brother just happens to be Besties with our own big brother.

7) She has an amazing doll collection!

Her petitie little voice is the sweetest thing to hear.

9) I get to spoil her rotten and introduce her to all the best candy!

10) Now that she is no longer a baby, but a full fledged toddler her spicy-ness has shown through in all the right ways.

Happy Birthday Londyn.

2nd month of the new year and another 10 on 10. I start to look forward to the next month almost immediately after this post is published. this month was a little more challenging for me as i have procrastinated and left myself hurrying to get in before the deadline. as easy as it would have been to sweep this month under the rug and catch up again with the next i’m glad i pushed myself to capture my day. just an ordinary day with nothing too exciting happening. that’s life for us, just going through the motions from beginning to end.

For the past couple of months now, Nicole from Nicole Conner Photography, and I been sharing a studio space in downtown Wenatchee. We seem to always be on the pass and go when we do get together so it was a super special opportunity that I had to meet up with her and her sweet little fam for a quick snow shoot. Yep Will is pretty much the cutest 2 year old out there!

I just want to share an itty bitty sneak into a recent boudoir session I shot. I think I was more nervous than my sweet friend as it’s the polar opposite from my weekly family and baby sessions. I have to say though, I loved it! It was so much fun to think creatively and outside of my so called normal point of view. I had some awesome help with this session and really couldn’t have pulled it off without  Katie, so thanks a million!
